Lucky Number Slevin

Lucky Number Slevin

Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and Lucy Liu in the same movie. Need I say more?

Today was filled with Cas-ish Snowboarding, and was delightfully excellent. I am not bleeding internally, nor do I have broken bones.

IRS was on Tuesday. Nuff said.

Let the week of hell begin.

Plot twist

So after my excellent interview yesterday, I've officially been given a job offer, and am accepting it. All will be locked in come monday.

However, the job is not with a certain government organization, i've been snatched.

By Apple Computers.

Come May, i'll be flying down to Cupertino, California, where i'll be working on the iPod team at the Apple Campus in the heart of Silicon Valley. I don't have any specifics yet, but it looks like Apple might be subsidizing living expenses, airfare, basic medical plan, etc. I think I get company discounts on Apple Products, the Networking opportunities are going to be really great, all in all, i'm very excited, which is odd, because I can't really remember the last time I really felt excited about something. I kinda feel bad because I beat out a couple of guys I know who also really wanted the position, but thems the breaks I guess. Scuba diving is a must, and i'm only 10-15 km from the beach, so I think i'll be spending a lot of time there on the weekends. Anyway, more to come when I have more information. Sorry Canada, maybe next time.

Like watching a 45 minute train wreck

GameLife Video Game Review Show Episode 1 - Google Video

A horrible, horrible train wreck. Except there's no train, just two guys who haven't got a clue at all.

Just watch the first 30 seconds of this. I don't know whether to feel bad for these two guys, or just to laugh, I'm torn. Just... Wow. You'll know from watching it that there's no way these two are doing this as a joke.

Found it on Something Awful. Supplying my dark humor for years... A small transcript, also stolen from Something Awful...

In this time, we have... good ol' Super Mario Brothers 2. Or... Doki Doki Panic as you'll as known in Japan... at that time. And of course, we, we, we, the western world, couldn't, uhm, get the original Super Mario Brothers 2 since that was supposedly too "difficult"... for the States. So this is what we got uhm... a game that already existed but with... uhm, Mario characters thrown in, there. So not to say that's a bad game by any means. But, I'm... uhm, I, personally I didn't like this game all that much when it came out.

The fat kid's neck looks like it's sentient and is trying to remove itself from what it knows to be a failure as a lifeform. I don't expect anyone to watch the full thing (unless you hate yourself), but skip ahead to around minute 31 to watch his review of Mario 2 (He is VERY upset of the 1-UP sound being different than the classic one). Also, the credits just make me giggle like an 8 year old girl (Although the fat kid starts laughing shortly thereafter, and that's a sight which will cause me nightmares).

Something Awful

Something Awful has a very good article on an age old question which has tormented the minds of philosophers for centuries...

The President has been kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?
